:: White with glitter for SWE ::

Week nine we had a card challenge to create with only white and lots of glitter at SWE.

 I used a digi stamp from Tiddly Ink and colored it with my Copics. Rhinestones from Papirdesign. On my image I alsu used Zig Wink of Stella Brush Marker Glitter Clear to get some cute sparkle.

 I used different white flowers and used Fairy Dust Stickles on them.

 To get some textures behind my image I used different dies and white cardstock. I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals Small, Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles, Spellbinders 5x7 Detailed Scallops, Memory Box Tall Bamboo, Prima Marketing Pineapple and Marianne Design Large Oval by Petra.

:: Two SWE cards for February ::

For this card I used a cute stamp from Lili of the valley. The design on my card is quite clean but I think the stamp needed to be in focus.

The card is created after one of my own sketches at SWE.

I really like the effect you get with the black lining.

My next card is a lift after Johanna/Pojjos card. I really like her cards so it was fun to lift her card at SWE.

The horse have I cut out with a Silouette last summer. I borrowed one for a couple of weeks. Fun!

Cute flowers with lots of Stickles on them.

The white frame on my cards is a Spellbinders die cut and the black one from a C´est Magnifique kit. I think they are from Blue Fern Studios.

:: Two very different cards ::

I continue to work with KaiserCraft Blue Bay collection. Really love that collection and will use it again! Today I have two very different cards made with this collection. It really shows how versatile the collection is!

I used my Big Shot and die-cutted out the words from one of the papers. I used dies from Spellbinders. I also added some pearls on the scalloped circle. Cute!

Flowers from Prima with Wire thread from Prima.

My next card is much more clean and simple and a bit masculine.

Still KaiserCraft Blue Bay collection.

Here I used Ovals from Spellbinders.

The stars comes from a package with Epoxy Stickers from Heidi Swapp. I just love both words and the stars! They give my card some shiny details.

:: Cupcake card ::

Today I have a card created with supplies from Papirdesign to show you. I love Cupcakes! Both eating them and baking them. This paper with Cupcakes is soooo cute!

I have used several dies from Spellbinders, Cheery Lynn Design and Marianne Design.
If you used some 3d pads you get a fun effect on the die-cuts!

:: Tutorial Box Folding ::

There are many good tools if you want to make boxes. For example them from We R Memory Keepers called Punch Boards. But sometimes when I want a box in a very specific measure I like to use Marta Stewart Crafts Scoring Boards. For the box I´m showing today I used the Martha Stewart Mini Scoring Board. Decide hos large the base of your box should be and how high your walls need to be. Cut a paper where you have added all your measurements. Score around your base or bottom.

Cut as my image shows in your scored folds. Use a Bone Folder when you fold up all the edges.

I like to use doublesided tape when I make boxes. It attaches immideately and don´t wrinkle the paper.

Make the lid the same way taht you did the box. You need to add about 4 millimeter and make the edges a bit lower. I usually make my edges 1,5 centimeters.

My Scoring Board is in inches so if I need to measure in exact centimeters I only use a ruler. I put the ruler at the vertical end of my paper. Then I fit the paper so I score at the right spot.

Now my box is finnished and the lid fits perfectly! It´s also room for paper that I want to embellish my box with.

Measue all edges on the box and cut out the patterned paper. Attatch with doublesided tape. If you want nice and neat corners dress the long sides of the box first as my photo shows. Then you cut the paper for the short sides and attach them a little bit overlapping.

Now we have a box with a nice outside but I always embellish the inside of the box also. You get a steady box and you can also hide small flaws from the folding. And of course it looks very nice!

I measure and score to get nice corners for the inside of the box. I also use the same technique with the overlapping pieces as I did with the outside of the box.

Alrighty! Now we have a handmade box.Very easy and very personal.

:: Love Cards Blue Fern Studios ::

Tomorrow it´s Valentines Day or as we call it in Sweden Alla Hjärtans Dag! I want to give my loved ones some cards and I made these two with supplies from Blue Fern Studios.
My first card is in a romantic style with soft colors and flowers.
I attached a paper on the Frilly Heart and made sure it fitted so I could play with my title. Then I added my Arrow Word. Now my title is Sweet Heart!

On my Heart Borders I added black Rhinestones.

Have you noticed the nice label strips on the Blue Fern Studio papers? Here I braided a whole bunch of them for my background. I hate to see nice things go to waste!
I know it´s a bit hard to see the layered black hearts. Sorry for that!

:: Cool Blue layout ::

My hubbie likes when I scrapbook our photos in color and not so much when I make them black and white. I know that I often turn the photos in to black and white because it´s so much easier to fit the colors on the papers. But today the photo was perfect in color for this project!

I took this photo of my boys that I love so much last summer. I have used KaiserCraft Blue Bay collection and it´s a very pretty and versatile collection.

I used tons of flowers on my page! I have mixed flowers from my favorite brands Prima and Petaloo.

Don´t be afraid to add some paint to your resin shapes. Here I painted the Butterfly in black and then I added Prima Art Sugar.

The sugared flowers from Petaloo are really pretty!

:: Papirdesign February Challenge ::

This month the theme for the challenge is Birthday. I made this very pink card for a birthday girl.

The stamp is from Mo Manning.

I used the vute wooden birds for my flower cluster. I painted it with Gesso and Acrylic Paint. Then I added Art Sugar from Prima before it dried.

On the larger bird I added a sentiment sticker.

I put two different flowers together and ended up with this cute one.
I have painted all flowers with Zig Wink of Stella.
